Treviso has about 100,000 inhabitants, it is 15 meters above sea level and is located on the confluence between the Sile and Cagnan rivers. Among these streams branches out a web of canals which are crossed by many bridges that plough the city from north to south creating a very characteristic centre: the “Buranelli”. A picturesque atmosphere is given to the centre by many medieval and renaissance monuments and houses with porticos beside the canals. Another typical thing which will please your palates and is well known abroad is the “Radicchio Trevigiano”. It is used to prepare tasty salads or can even be eaten barbecued and it has obtained the European quality guaranteeing mark “DOC”
